The problem
What needed solving.
Parish financial record-keeping was manual and fragmented. Contributions, pledges, and expenses were recorded across notebooks and separate spreadsheets, which made reconciliation slow and reporting to the diocese difficult.
Approach
What was built.
- Mapped the existing recording and reporting routine with parish staff before designing screens.
- Built a single contributions and pledges ledger with per-fund tracking and receipt numbering.
- Added role-based access so parish staff, finance officers, and administrators each see the right scope.
- Generated period statements and reports directly from recorded entries.
Status
Live — in active use
Deployed and used for day-to-day parish financial recording, with ongoing support and improvement work.
